Closing the Deal

Posted on October 24, 2007. Filed under: myrtle beach real estate | Tags: |

It has been 5 weeks since the date for the closing on my client’s homesite.  We have had 4 extensions including the one in the initial contract.  The last one was for two weeks, because the bank had to procure a few more documents. Tomorrow is the deadline and the attorneys don’t know any more than I do. My seller client keeps asking me what she should do.  So far I’ve advised her to hang in there because the deal may still go through.  I feel personally responsible for this delay even though it is out of my control.

Should I have ended this fiasco after the second extension to save my client all this stress or did I do the right thing?
